[Rovernet] P6 3500 brakes stuck on

I failed to mention that when my OE system began to stick with brakes on it
turned out to be the master cylinder failing to release. The roadside fix a
hundred miles from home was to whack the MC with a hammer using a stick to
transmit the impulse to the cylinder. Every try to drive a hundred miles
without using the brakes?

My solution to much the same problems on my '70 3500S was to convert it to
the European single circuit system and it has worked perfectly since then
including a much better pedal feel. Most all companies rather easily
mastered the ability to make a rational dual circuit system but that seemed
to have escaped the Rover folks. It seems they have attempted to modulate
the amount of vacuum boost vice the initial hydraulic pressure resulting in
a very strange feeling and acting system. When is the last time anyone
needed the redundancy of a dual circuit? Single circuit works first time
every time.

Neville and I have rebuilt every component of the system, and the brakes
still stick on and don't release. Is the problem in the vacuum control
valve on the master cylinder? (This is a 1970, dual system, with the slave
servo on the right side, and the splitter just above the slave.) Thanks for
advice.
