Hi Lance,

I’m in the middle of this myself, having discovered fluid leaking from mine this Fall.

It seems the part is common with MG. I’ve seen them regularly on eBay over the past month. Also, Moss motors sells the rebuild kits for this. repair kit Moss# 181-995 (HK153 Capara). Apparently there are two kits, depending on whether yours has O-rings or cups.

Here is a link to a page on the MG site that discusses this: http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?3,1787066 <http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?3,1787066> and another with a video on how it works: http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?1,2270448 <http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?1,2270448>

I’m struggling with getting my brake lines to come out of the switch housing. Fully loosened but won’t come out. I’ve read that they “mushroom” at the ends when tightened too much, causing them to not want to release. I’m now trying to figure out a good method to apply upward pressure while turning to get them out, so I can get to the rebuild.

Anyway, check out eBay if you want to replace the whole unit or need to replace the electric switch (which others here have informed me is not the cause of leaking) : http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XMG+brake+pressure+switch.TRS0&_nkw=MG+brake+pressure+switch&_sacat=0 <http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XMG+brake+pressure+switch.TRS0&_nkw=MG+brake+pressure+switch&_sacat=0>

In my parts book it only shows part #565550 as the whole 5 way junction-----I can't believe I would have to buy the whole assembly. Even a used one which doesn't leak would be appreciated.
