Kent, sorry to hear about your health. Like you, I had come to the realization that I would never complete my project cars, especially the Rovers. I do still regret that decision at times, as my P5 was such a good driver and being shown in Practical Classics many years ago was special to me. The P4 90 had so much potential and I liked the aluminum panels and the engine ran so sweetly and quietly. Thankfully Tom has brought it along so much further that I would have. The TC I always envisioned being my daily driver. My kids are still mad about me selling off the A40 Somerset and the Minx would have made a nice unrestored since now "patina" is all the rage. *sigh* I got into motorcycles to the extent of working on basket cases, working on my Willys pick up and now have gotten in Cyclekarts. These are so cool and take up less room than real cars.

Plenty of videos on youtube especially from Dennis Thomas who builds and race these. Another project to keep me out of trouble. LOL!

Good luck Kent.

 Dear Netters,
As my health fails and my family obligations increase (grandchild number
nine is on the way), I must reluctantly admit that some of my dreams
will not be finished.

Chief among them are my two P5/P5B projects.

My P5B Coupe is a very early one (November 1967) that I foolishly began
converting to LHD.  The body is very solid, having received new "A" and
"D" posts and new middle and outer sills.  This project includes many
new parts...too many to list, and parts (including the subframe) from
another P5B coupe which I parted out years ago.  The car has a clear
Texas title in my name.  I'm happy to discuss history and details.

My P5 Mk. III saloon (LHD, 4spd/OD) is a car I took in trade from Gordon
Harrower.  It needs sills, "A" and "D" posts and wings.  I have another
P5 Mk. III that has a good body but is basically stripped.  I have the
title that Gordon supplied, but it is not in his name.  If it weren't so
rare (87 LHD export manual trans cars built over the two years of
produciton), I would part it out as it has the few parts (bumpers and
dash pad) that the P5B needs.

I see myself as a temporary custodian of these cars and feel it is time
to pass them on to more energetic ownership.

Roverly,
Kent Kinard
San Antonio, Texas
