Or if you want to retain the original look but flow more air you can adapt
either the HD8 or HS8 carbs from the 2000TC onto the 3500 manifold.  I did
this years ago but have yet to try and get it running.  Hardcastle's book,
"Tuning Rover V8 Engines," outlines the process on page 66 and how to arrive
at the correct needle/jet combination.  Hardcastle notes an array of eight
different induction systems for the V8.  The Holly 390/Edelbrock manifold is
probably the simplest and easiest way to better breathing for this engine.
Now if there were only a good exhaust manifold for the V8 that would fit in
the P5B engine compartment...
