[Rovernet] TC dwell

Thanks Bill

Much appreciated and as you state Rover did not specify the dwell in any of
the manuals that i have.

I prefer to use a remote starter with the cap off so as to set the points
gap to the right dwell angle. I find this better with a tune because the
facings of the points cannot be accurately assessed with feeler gauges.
Perhaps I should always replace points with a service where the facing gap
is not an issue.

Cheers and thanks Bill

AFAIK, with a point gap of .015, the dwell for a 4-cylinder engine
should be on the order of 54 deg.

Rover to the best of my knowledge did not specify the dwell for the
2000, but a trawl of the net suggests 54 deg should be about right.

Cheers,
