[Rovernet] 3500S Heater resolved for now

Thanks for the helpful info from all who responded to my plea for a warm 3500S this winter.
After perusing your suggestions, I spent $5 on a right angled heater hose adapter to replace the vacuum valve and - Voila! - I have heat!
Of course, it is the on/off variety that Geoff McCarthy has, but, hey, it's winter. If we get a warm day, I'll just roll the windows down!
Last night I was driving in 35 degree temps, and I was toasty warm with the fan on medium. So I guess the used vacuum valve was the culprit after all. So next Spring, I'll just replace the adapter with another vacuum valve (if I can find one) so I can have AC for the summer days.
