[Rovernet] P6 wheels / tires

Looking for wheel / tire suggestions for my 73 P6 2200TC.  Now has 14” steel rims and full covers, shod in original size (hard to find) Michelins. 

I wish to ehnance appearance and road-going performance, and have access to 4 Rover alloys to be refinished. These are currently painted all black / without chrome polished spoke highlights. 

Is it wise to go to 15s?  

What ratio / profile / brand do you recommend? 

Other considerations relative to suspension geometry?
