I think the 3500 reserve taps are the same as a 2000. The sometimes you need to replace the o ring. Wadhams has them.

What is your reserve tap doing?

I've got a 3500S so not sure if this relates to all the P6s but I'm trying to track down a working reserve valve, or someone who knows if there is a kit to fix it. There's a 3500S gas tank on ebay, but I'd rather try to find a good used valve than to buy the whole gas tank.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, spring is here and I've still got my rebuilt BW35 available with less than 5,000 miles on it. Please let me know if anyone is interested.

Thanks, Lance

In the 2000TC the reserve valve is on the right side of the engine
compartment and completely removed from the gas tank. I don't recall ever
looking for that valve on my 3500S. The valve is quite simple and can be
rebuilt by changing the O rings. I watched the late Ron Jones rebuild the
one on my '67 TC in late '82 with hardware store O rings.

Odd. I would swear that my early 2000TC has the valve right on the tank. Did the valve move over the years?
