[Rovernet] Not bad!

I think I might have been there. I certainly went to a meet in NY on one of my trips to the States where there were some old aeroplanes and a 2000 Auto. I also have happy memories of the day. I can't say I remember the lady's name.

Who was that nice woman who came to the Rover Meet at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome with the gray 2000 Auto? Lovely car and nice lady. That was a great day with the old airplanes and a bunch of Rovers. Of course, there are photos somewhere...

You were at that one, weren't you, Dermot?

How are you Steve? I have Classic insurance on my 1971 TC2000 with JC Taylor. Yes, the NADA 1969 would have Ambla trim. Super well made vinyl holds up better than leather. Stephen Beer had a similar car to this about 10 years ago. I believe he put a TC engine and trans in it. Haven’t heard from him recently.
Hope to see you next year!

Just out of curiosity, who here has classic insurance on your P6?  The cynic in me thinks a King Midget has more value in the US marketplace than a P6.

If it has classic insurance (such as Hagerty's) You should have an agreed valuation. There's no reason not to use them. But people still insure on regular policies which condeems cars to the scrapheap if damaged in any way.

I would think in the US a Rover 2000 would be written off if it needed little more than one of the wings replaced.  How many adjusters in the US even know what a Rover P6 is (or care)?

Quite often a salvage title with an older car that the insurance company deems of small value just means than the car was written off as uneconomical to repair, not that it was severely damaged.
