For all of you with the Borg Warner Transmissions you have my sympathy. 
I have been driving P6B's with that transmission since 1974 and never 
had a lot of luck with them holding up for long. The ZF4HP22 used in the 
Range Rover, Discovery, Jaguar and BMW are for the most bullet proof as 
well as they are 4 speed with lockup in top gear which is like a 5 gear. 
It is also a belt-less transmission which almost all manufacturers have 
gone to. Drive a car with that transmission and see for yourself and ask 
the owners for the track record.
