Hi Lance,

The final drives for the 3500 and the 2000/2200 are different, although 
some parts are common to both.  JR Wadhams does list a couple of parts 
for the 3500, on the "clutch and drivetrain" page.  Bit pricey, though.  
You might have luck asking around for a final drive out of a junked P6B.

It does sound as if there is a problem perhaps with the pinion on the 
left hand half shaft.  I think this is one of the parts Wadham's lists.
