Hi Derek. I believe the P5 is different being their first unibody. I could be wrong as I sold the car many years ago.

Be sure to checknout your chassis. I have a 56 p4 but Rover put batting in their box frame (at least in the 50's). This resulted in if you had any moisure get in it soaked it up like a sponge and rotted from the inside out.  I new of some severe rot I new I would need to get repaired but once I had it sand blasted found out how bad it really was.
Now I'm in a fix trying to locate a replacement. Being in Canada makes it that much more difficult to source out.
Hope yours is in decent condition and all the best on your project!

If I recall correctly, rust prone around the rear wheel arches and under the front windscreen areas. Depending on the location of the car, I'd imagine also the same places as a 10 year old Chevy. My 1960 had very little rust through since it spent a lot of time in Southern California. every soft bit was sunbaked and rotted though.

 Gianluca,

As with all cars, corrosion is a really big issue. I can't say where to
really look, but I bet there's a buying guide or 7 available online?
