Larry,

I generally recommend that you remove your cylinder and send it to White 
Post Restorations or Apple Hydraulics to be re-sleeved in brass or 
stainless and rebuilt by them. It'll be better than new, and you won't 
have to worry about modifying the reservoir or anything else to make it fit.
