A few things come to mind. I generally send boosters needing a rebuild out to Power Brake Exchange in San Jose, CA. They have generally done excellent work for me.
Also, if they disturbed the vacuum hoses to the manifold, they may not be holding vacuum. SNG Barratt (and others) have cloth braided vacuum host that fits and looks the part.
