[Rovernet] 2000TC - gauges (Robert Ruggeri)

Thank you very much for your response. I've been told by folks here in the past that it's a "Series 2", one of the relatively few imported here apparently.

Someone here has a " '70 P6B NADA" instrument cluster with round gauges, so we're assuming it'll fit my car. Thoughts anyone?

Bob

I do not have my Rover P6 book with me, as I am moving but I suspect looking at the VIN that it was a left hand drive export model not USA export model. The series one 2000's for USA standards all started with an 869, once federal emissions standards came in. I think the series 2 were the same. There were only about 150 of series 2 sold in the USA. Yours might be a private import perhaps? Since series 2 were so few in USA, you might have to look towards Europe for this cluster.

This raises the question, were the series 2 instrument cluster the same between left hand and right hand drive? If they are left hand drive specific then you will have to look to Europe and then you might find them to be in kmph. All the left hand drive countries in Europe were metric then I think.

I do have a late Rover 2000 / 2200 parts manual that would have this information but un-fortunately I have not moved it to North Carolina yet.

So if you have no luck on this form try classicroverforum.net I am sure someone there could help.

James.
