Yes, they are that!
I made a little modification to ease the pain: an 8-inch piece of brake
line with suitable fittings -- male to fit the bleed valve hole in the
caliper, and female to accept the bleed fitting. Bent to bring the
bleed valve down to where you can easily get to it. Works a treat.
Fittings are 3/8-24 thread if I recall correctly.
