someone put $13,000 into that car, and I'm glad someone cared
enough to do that. Sounds as if someone bought it at an estate
sale, had never seen a Rover before, and thinks this is the last
one in existence. After all, vintage Jaguars are British and
command a big buck. There's so much information left out of this
ad. Someone did a nice job on that interior, though, I must say.<br>
<br>
Also, I'd love to have it if $13,000 meant that little to me. For
the first time in my life I am about to move into a home with an
oversize two-car garage with a twenty-foot workbench. Had to sell
my Rovers when I downsized to a place with no garage and not even
a driveway. I have three Volvos from the 90s that I do all my
wrenching on in the parking lot behind my house and other people's
driveways. I am moving to Ohio to be near my son and
granddaughters, am realizing a substantial nontaxable capital gain
(I'm 67), and just received an unexpected inheritance of $20k.
That car is about 70 miles from where I am right now, but there is
no way I am going to put more money into a car than I could ever
get out of it. Besides, all the "fun stuff" looks like it has been
done. I am used to 2000TCs that still blow mouse turds from the
left dash vent three years after you'd done everything possible to
clean them out.<br>

I'm getting rusty on my 2000 facts. I forgot they ever came
without the automatic. Single carb and a slush box means easy
tuning, a stately pace and SMOOTH. I remember a gray one that
belonged to a nice lady who came to our Rover meet at the
Rhinebeck Aerodrome. Lovely car. 100% original.</div>
