the 3500S Auto (FED/NADA) and the 3500S Manual (UK et al) are two
different cars.

Re Taylor book, I found from the USA perspective that Taylor was
pretty much spot on for the models we received here. Can't speak
for other details and other models. But I know you have held in
your hands just about every P6 part that was ever manufactured and
have all of the parts manuals, as well.

Re the car in question, the seller could have avoided all the
inaccuracies by simply Googling the car or going to Wikipedia, and
ought to have done if they are in the car selling business. To me
the car looks like a very well preserved 103,000 mile example and
quite original except for the Edlebrock carb and intake.

I had an SD1 that came with the Holley 390 cfm carb installed. It
was brutally powerful but I never could get it to run well at
anything expect full throttle. I installed one of those Eddlebrock
carbs, and the thing ran beautifully even before making
adjustments, but it was nowhere near as thrilling to drive. Many
V8 people in the USA were stymied by the dual SUs, and if they had
100k on them the throttle shafts would have been leaking making
them impossible to adjust properly. Went through that with several
clapped out MGBs that fit my budget when I had no understanding at
first and no cash to have them rebushed later. Back then the
downdraft Weber was about $99 including intake manifold, and that
carb transformed my MGB. No-brainer.

Anyway, very decent P6. Would be nice to see a more accurate
advertisement and no claim that those were the only original
miles. A 3000-mile car would be worth quite a bit more than a 100k
car and be in better mechanical shape, most likely.

(vi) I can't speak about the mph/kph speedo issue in New
