Hi All:

My 200TC has been at the shop for 3 years now. It has never been on the road. I was up in Vermont last week and checked in on it. Several questions:

* Speedo and tach are totally dead. Gas gauge and temp gauge are way off. Shop says all the gauges were working OK at one point, but the ?voltage stabilizer? they put in from Moss isn?t working right. The voltage to the circuit is bad or wrong. Shop assumed that the P6 voltage is ?the same as other British cars?. How much should it be? Does Rover have its own voltage stabilizer??

* Shop put in Petronix ignition which works fine. They say that the original tach needs to be rebuilt to work with Petronix. What did others here do with tach after putting in Petronix??

* Anybody have a fan shroud for the engine fan?

Appreciate any thoughts you have.

Hi All

* Anyone have good stock side mirrors (that go on the front doors)? Both sides?

* The entire front right turn signal light assembly is broken. Anyone have a good working one? See photo. It?s the one below the bumper.

Hi All:

* The shop outsourced the new muffler to a local shop. It is extremely loud and sounds ridiculous. I?ll go with a stock stainless system I can get from the UK (unless someone has one here in the US). But before I go through all that, how quiet is a stainless exhaust on this car? Anybody have a really quiet exhaust on their P6 and, if so, where?d they get it?

* The throttle takes several seconds to drop back down to idle. Shop blamed the throttle set up, but what?s the solution?

* An earlier ?repair? shop had wrecked my bonnet. The new shop installed the wrong replacement it sourced from Florida so I sourced one (with two ?bumps?) from someone here on the list. I believe it?s the correct one. See attached photo.
However, I also tossed out the stock black ?egg crate? grill (which looks terrible) and replaced it with the earlier chrome one. (Is that the one called ?the sharktooth? one?). Problem is that there is a bit of a gap between the bonnet and the grill. Any ideas?

Thanks

Bob
