Sounds like you've been through the ringer for the past 3 years with this car. First, none of the "see attached photo"(s) came through except a Rover P5, so it's really hard to know exactly what you may or may not be referencing.<br>

Last year I installed a complete stainless steel exhaust system from JR Wadhams. Not only is it beautiful and will last the rest of the life of the car and me (ha!), but the sound is perfect (and I'm referencing the lovely burble from my V8 in my 3500S). Nothing "noisy" about it.<br>

Someone should correct me immediately if I'm wrong, but the grille (not grill) to which you are referring is not the shark tooth. That refers to a very early, lower valence below the front bumper. Egg crate is the correct term for the Series II grille. The chrome grille with which you've replaced the egg crate I only know as a Series 1 grille (which I also agree is much better looking).<br>

Also because of the absence of any photos, I'm quite confused about your statement regarding your broken, front, right, turn signal below the bumper. If memory serves (and is the case with my 3500S), all of the 2000s/2200s came with their turn signals above the bumpers (as originally designed). To my knowledge, only the U.S. Export NADA 3500S placed the turn signals below. Sounds like someone retrofitted the turn signals. Regardless, if I'm wrong (very often the case), and the below-the-bumper turn signal is correct, then, as with my 3500S, it is essentially the identical Lucas turn signal configuration which you'll find on an MGB.<br>

What is not included in this turn signal is the plastic housing (not part of the MGB) which hangs down from underneath the bumper on my 3500S (i.e., the turn signal is not integrated into the body work as it is with the MGB). Hopefully that black housing is still intact on you car.<br>

However, I also tossed out the stock black ?egg crate? grill (which looks terrible) and replaced it with the earlier chrome one. (Is that the one called ?the sharktooth? one?). Problem is that there is a bit of a gap between the bonnet and the grill. Any ideas?<br>

I?m puzzled, the speedo is mechanical. Does your car have round dial or the strip speedo?<br>

All Lucas cars from the era used the same voltage stabilizer and I don't think they are polarity sensitive. But Moss sells cheap stuff too - or at least built to a price ? so I could see the problem being a bad one. But the speedo should work.<br>
<br>
The Petronix question depends on what tach you have, some of them read low or erratically. There are fixes that don;t need the tach modified. Again, depending on the exact tach it might not be a problem.<br>
<br>
The 2000s never had fan shrouds.<br>

To pick up where I left off:<br>

Your best muffler solution is the stainless set from the UK. Though if you aren?t going to drive the car a great deal, mild steel is cheaper. The SS system has a rep for being ?tinny? whatever that means, but I wouldn't pay much attention to that. The stock three can system is pretty quiet, but it is a 1960?s car.<br>
<br>
The throttle issue sounds more like bad SUs/badly setup SUs. What year is the car? Is looks to be 2000TC MkII.<br>
<br>
The working bits of the signal light are identical to the MGB, but I?m not sure you can get all amber lenses.<br>

To answer Lances question about the signal lamps, the under the bumper ones are correct for North American cars from 1969 on. And you?ll see them on late 68?s too.<br>
<br>
On Bob?s car, you can see the side reflectors & sidelamps, which would also be correct if it?s a federal 2000TC MkII with a twin bump hood and eggcrate grill.<br>
<br>
Only the english registration plate throws the picture off.<br>

I changed my front lamps to the UK-spec white/amber park/indicator lamp cluster and binned the silly-looking under bumper lamps.? I had to get the cluster bases from the UK as there is a plug in the US-spec cluster where the indicator lamp socket should go, and traded for the upper white lenses with someone in the UK that wanted the amber ones.? I had to futz with the wiring to get it all working properly.<br>
