<div dir="ltr">Wood wheels is a world to explore!<div>That wheel isnt technically period correct - being a 'big' boss.<div>Whilst Moto Lita is a safe choice, it doesnt start to explore the opportunity period steering wheels offer.</div><div>The advantage of ML is simply that the company still exists, so you just buy new what they offer from the catalogue.</div><div>Of course the 'correct' option for any P6 is a Clifford, who made the plastic wood effect wheel option. (actually who made the standard car wheel? off the top of my head I dont know, but cliffords were the supplier for several standard production brands in period.) Clifford also supplied real wood wheels too.</div><div>Another careless choise (in my opinion) is to say get a Les Leston. LL was just a successful marketeer of accessories in the 60's and 70's selling whoever's product he got his hands on, with the addition of the LL logo.</div><div>The technically superior maker was probably Walsall Wheels (often confused or combined with the assumption all are LL wheels, and all LL's are WW's) These were used as oe wheels for certain brands, but also widely sold in the aftermarket.</div></div><div>Be aware there was a huge activity in the market with perhaps as few as a dozen 'principal' UK manufacturers all producing and marking for their Brand customers.</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Sat, 1 Feb 2025 at 03:02, Steven Dibdin via Rovernet <<a href="mailto:rovernet@rovernet.org">rovernet@rovernet.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="auto">I have a Moto Lita, love how it looks and feels.
