[Rovernet] servo rod "stuck"?

I think it is just a question of applying enough force. You can try re-attaching the large plastic piston (using the locking key) and getting better leverage with this.

In dismantling the servo in the 3500S, I came to an abrupt stop when the servo rod, which is supposed to be drawn out "gently," seems to be hindered by something: It only allows me to pull it out about 1/2 inch, then refuses to budge as if something is physically stopping it.  What am I missing?
