I agree, this car is  a complete mess. Series 2 chassis number, but the appearance of a series 1, and it is quite definitely not a 1976 car with those seats. You could get a better idea of the year if the complete chassis number were there (with the suffix).
I would steer clear.

My first question would be for someone to check the VIN and so forth and verify that any of the story is true. I haven't looked to see what images they have in the listing for documents, but this seems like a car that was put together with parts of various cars to suit the tastes of whomever did it. I like the combination of parts, and you are obviously not buying this car to be a concours factory-exact vehicle. If there is bondo in the doors, I would be concerned because I have seen lots of neglected P6s in rust belt areas and never seen rusted out doors.

I agree, wrong sills (SII should be black or huntsman) wrong bonnet too. The reply “no rust just bondo on door bottom” tells you that the owner is missing the point.

Sent from a small screen, please excuse any typos.

I’d be cautious… mostly because of the terrible paint over Bondo job, cracking paint means bad filler underneath. Sills look wrong. I’d be looking for more serious body issues under the sloppy paint.
Mechanical stuff…no oil pressure, tachometer, etc. could be just electrical issues, but you’d really be wise to check this one out in person.
