Hi Steve,There are collars on the small shafts that go into the differential that are best machined off.  The original ones were pressed on. These collars need to be removed to replace the differential seals. I’m not sure how available the collars are, but new ones can be made and pressed on. The seals I am sure are available. You might as well replace the seal at the aluminum end of the differential as well. You will likely need a machine shop to pull the flange off. They need to be careful. The flange itself can bend. Best of luck. Jess

1/2 shafts out. I have the strap in place already to make sure that didn’t happen while working on it.  The seals are bad on one side leaking fluid out onto the brakes. Looks like England for the parts. Anybody have another source?S

Are the half shafts still in it? Other than those flopping around, the only thing you have to do is run a rope or ratchet strap between the two trailing arms or the elbows, so the wheels don't try and walk apart and over-extend the DeDion tube and/or get hung up in the wheelwells.

Hello all
I have the differential out of my p6 2000tc for repairs. Turns out to be a little longer to get parts and I would like to take the car down off the jack stands and move it to another location. Anybody think that is a dumb idea, could be bad news?
Thks
