Thanks for the info. I'll follow your instructions. Recently checked all of the fuses for continuity and nothing was amiss.

Subject: Re: [Rovernet] Brake fluid warning light/switch

As I recall, all the sensors that work the warning light earth the light circuit when there is a fault. These are on the two reservoir caps, the brake discs, the front/rear fluid distribution block near the servo, and the hand brake. The "hot" lead to the lamp visits each of these in tun, although I dont know in what order. You could try earthing each one manually with a bit of wire to the chassis, and see if the lamp lights up. If it lights on one or more, but not all, that should help you locate the problem. If there is still no action, try with a voltmeter on the positive lead to the sensors (with the ignition on). Should read 12 volts. If nothing, must be a fault in the supply to the entire circuit. (Thought: is there a fuse for this brake warning light circuit?)

Cheers,

Bill D.

I would appreciate some diagnostic help. '70 3500S NADA. The warning light for brake fluid levels is not working. I've checked the lightbulb on the dashboard and it is good. I've lifted each of the two reservoir caps several inches to get the high tech (LOL) corks to lower and no light. I tried jumping the cap wires to close the circuit, and nothing. I've made sure the emergency brake is not engaged

Any help would be appreciated.
