Hi Alan,
I'm hoping it was my thread and that it pertains to your problem. After replacing the UJs I discovered that I had refitted one of them backwards, such that the protruding zerk was interfering with the rotation. Once I re-removed the half-shaft (clearly an unanticipated pain) , and re-installed the UJ with the zerk pointing in the opposite direction, the binding was no longer possible.
Hope that helps, Lance

Subject: [Rovernet] Binding P6 Half Shaft
A while back there was a thread on Rovernet about P6 half shafts binding or failing to turn 360 deg after new UJ's had been fitted. I am now experiencing a similar problem as shown in the video link below which hopefully Rovernet will allow. I have tried searching the archive but I'm unable to find the thread. Can anyone advise me what the problem was and how to resolve it. I seem to remember the UJ's had to be turned through 180 deg.
Any advice appreciated.
