Alan, thank you so much.   You are an endless font of knowledge, much appreciated.

Thinking about current mechanics and technology relative to raising or lowering front seats, these screws and spacers used to raise the front seats I would describe as pre-Neanderthal!!!!

Lance, they're spacers to raise the front seats. Tool kits came with 4 spacers and four longer screws.
