 That is absoluty correct, this is for the "Touring Kit" which places the spare on the boot lid and the same item will hold the spare in place inside the boot.

I don't ever remember seeing the Viking badge insert into the handle of the spare tire holder rod???????  This was OEM from the factory, was it????
