Hello Larry,Very sorry to hear about your fire under the hood (bonnet)
of your P6.
A few years ago I purchased a new harness for my factory MG BGT V8
from Autosparks in the UK. https://www.autosparks.co.uk/ . It was
identical to the original but better quality!
I am not sure where you are located, but I believe in the USA, British
Wiring is the US distributor for Autosparks harnesses.
https://www.britishwiring.com/
It may be a little tricky if your car is a USA-spec LHD version. You
can ask and see what they have in their library of models they can
supply harnesses for.
Good luck with this repair and please keep us posted on your progress.
Best regards,Dan

Subject: [Rovernet] sad day
Yesterday i was just getting the P6 back on the road and there was a
fire under the hood. I managed to get the battery disconnected but
some of the wiring loom was melted. Now this rover was a 1967 and I
have some 1969 parts cars. Are the wiring looms the same? Or is there
new looms available? Larry
