[Rovernet] P6B final gearing

I too would urge caution in fitting a 2000 final drive to a 3500. My
P6B had a 2000 final drive when I got it. I didn't know this at the
time, but after the final drive failed (stripped spider gear) I realised
it was a 3.54, not a 3.08 and hence not the original equipment. The car
had always seemed under-geared and that explained it.

I suspect the torque capacity of a 2000 unit might be a bit marginal for
the V8.

YMMV (in fact, it probably will!)

Cheers,
