Hi Lance,

Others can give you a more scientific answer, but I’ve just rebuilt the entire brake system in my 3500s, and flushed all fluids two or three times in the trouble-shooting of the slave and master. The secondary drains faster than the primary, particularly when you are bleeding the passenger side front. I monitor both as I am flushing first rear and left front (together), then right front. Both reservoirs will eventually empty, and the fluid in the lines will all flush as that happens.

Probably obvious, but thought I’d pass on what I’ve experienced.

Peter

I would appreciate if someone would 1) give me a brief explanation of how/when the second reservoir kicks in, in an emergency failure of the primary reservoir/master cylinder and 2) if I evacuate the fluid in the secondary reservoir and fill it with fresh fluid, how do I flush the lines from the secondary reservoir in the system?
